Finnish by birth but longtime residents of Berlin, the Amnesia Scanners have undoubtedly raised the bar of multimedia shows. Their audio/video sets are an extreme (and very emotional) aesthetic frontier of the interaction between sound and image: an exhilarating yet equally disturbing dystopia, a live show not to be missed.

From the “treasure trove of wonders” that is the Nyege Nyege galaxy, or rather the primordial black beat that is re-tuned to hyper-contemporaneity, comes the fulminating and apocalyptic Aunty Rayzor. Of Nigerian descent, she arrives at ROBOT having just released her debut work. A radiant flair for being on stage and a boundless level of self-confidence: a red-circle appointment for those who come to ROBOT in search of surprises, discoveries, and new talents.

Presently based in Lisbon, but originally the high priestess of Melbourne's club scene, CC:DISCO is a true force of nature capable of conquering every dancefloor with her disco, house and boogie hits. Her talent is so infectious that her original radio show, “Smoke And Mirrors”, made her a global cult in no time. Having since received invitations from institutions such as Rinse FM, NTS, Red Light Radio, and Dublab, she now showcases a packed gig calendar around Europe.

One of the brightest talents of the past two decades in the so-called field of “intelligent electronics”: where dizzying rhythmic inlays harmonise with sudden melodic openings or eerie ambient suspensions. It says a lot that a legend like Thom Yorke, the leader of Radiohead, insisted on producing his new album - an album which will make its national debut at ROBOT.

Corin Ileto's music is a crossroads of styles, emotions, and directions. Extremes that collide, in her case: the high flight of research and the 'belly' of pure clubbing; the electronica of great emotions and the darkness of wave and EBM references; the uncompromising grime attitude and trance abstraction. Opposing elements that feed and illuminate her. A particular creative declination that has already bewitched artists like Lee Gamble and labels like Beduoin Records, as well as venues as diverse as the Palais de Tokyo in Paris or Berlin's Berghain. It is quite rare to see her in Europe, she’s careful and selective about the events she chooses to attend, and at ROBOT she brings the national premiere of the live set attributed to her new album.

A return by acclamation. The Danish Courtesy bewitched everyone in the 2022 edition of ROBOT with her 'essentialised' trance prisms capable of dipping into magnificent melodic openings. It is an honour and a pleasure to have her as a guest again, to accompany us in the new milestones and evolutions of her emotional and aesthetic journey.

A ROBOT 14 exclusive back-to-back. France's Crystalmess, with her "hyper" world ranging from hardcore rap to footwork, meets England's Lee Gamble, one of the greatest exponents of that "hardcore continuum" that starts with jungle and drum'n'bass and collapses into detours, surprises, eerie suspensions, and moments of absolute genius.

Not only the exciting adventure with Natural Wonder Beauty Concept: ROBOT 14 has the pleasure and honour of hosting the great DJ Python, aka Brian Piñeyro, also in his guise of protagonist DJ, playing solo at TPO. The perfect context to dive unabashedly into his absurd yet perfect contamination of reggaeton and house, of Latin stimulations and dark and deep dives into the most subterranean four-on-the-floor. A more unique than rare case in contemporary clubbing.

“Festa”. Collective action of sound improvisation. 180 minutes of total and absolute expressive freedom. An unexpected and unpredictable number of musicians. Ready to go in and out partly as they please, and partly following the instructions of composer Francesco Giomi (former collaborator of the great Luciano Berio). As inspiration and 'spiritual guidance', the echo of the experimental and radical sound experiences of the 1960s and 1970s (Musica Elettronica Viva, Giuseppe Chiari's matches, but also Cornelius Cardew's Scratch Orchestra).

An eclectic and assiduous DJ/producer roams the streets of Bologna and enjoys, among other things, organising intimate seditious gatherings full of beautiful sounds. Sound explorations in distant lands, accompanied by enveloping percussions dissolved in lysergic acid. Unsung pagan liturgies reserved for lovers of mysticism and introspection. Filibalou comes to ROBOT to take you 'elsewhere', using none other than the power of music and imagination.

"I was stuck in the studio, in winter, pouring rain, with a broken foot and a host of other annoyances: this state of forced immobility became almost psychedelic at some point. I started to create conversations between 80s pop, metal and dub – both in my head and in my streams. I played with distorted synths and transfigured wind instruments, slowed down the rhythmic patterns and made the recorded vocal fragments eerie. The end result is 'Bolted'...": this is how the great Forest Swords, aka Matthew Barnes, aka one of the most intriguing and radical composers of contemporary electronic and experimental music, talks about the new album – out now on Ninja Tune – that he will premiere at ROBOT. Simply not to be missed.

Francesca Heart is the 'sonorous' alias of Francesca Mariano, a multidisciplinary artist and researcher capable of crossing the boundaries of musical and bodily expression in an enlightened and unostentatious manner. ROBOT presents a preview of "TWIRLS", an installation + performance capable of shaking senses and emotions in a sinuous, liquid manner. Liquid in all senses of the word: it’s not every day you’ll see a swimming pool inside Palazzo Re Enzo, but this occasion might just be the exception.

It would be hard to find a better DJ than Helena Hauff today. Her encyclopaedic knowledge of all things electronic music past, present and future, surfing genres, eras and BPMs; the bones and roots she has grown as the historic resident at legendary venue Golden Pudel in Hamburg; the epoch-making sets at festivals halfway around the world (and we're talking Sónar or Dekmantel); the releases on Ninja Tune's top labels; the awards and recognition she has received from the likes of the BBC or Crack Magazine; this, and so much more. Okay, but beyond titles and honours, when you end up in her sonic streams it is always, quite simply, razor-sharp magic.

An exciting, surprising and razor-sharp journey through the intersection of dub-reggae and post-punk, revised in a hyper-actual key. One of the best 'escaped brains' of our house and already alongside Nicolas Jaar, Raime and others, as well as in the Vanishing Twin project, percussionist Valentina Magaletti crosses creative arms with Al Wootton (aka Deadboy) and with bass player Susumu Mukai in a live set at the Teatro San Leonardo that promises sparks. Rhythmic, mystical sparks.

What more to say other than: legend. Describing Jeff Mills is as simple as that. He lands at ROBOT 14 doing that for which he has no match in the world: Djing. A DJ in whose hands techno becomes an experience as physical and direct as it is transcendental and mystical, always seeking a higher level of mental intensity.

Musicians. Performers. Cultural agitators. Klub Taiga is the acronym that unites the ethics, aesthetics and flamboyant provocations of three trailblazers: Industria Indipendente, Steve Pepe and Yva & Toy George. An open space, a diffused 'scene' that eschews definitions, a dark and disorienting place where appearances become infinitely possible: in the dark, nothing ever happens in one place, and in the music, bodies become confused. The more performative soul of ROBOT loves a Klub like this.

A mutant creature bringing music as explosive as its ethics and aesthetics. LastSickPuppy is a 'new frontier' for anything you can imagine. Between hyper-colours and violent deformations, his performances truly allow spectators to experience the craziest, most extreme, absurd and psychedelic future - in the present moment.

For ROBOT 14, Marta De Pascalis has a special gift: the absolute Italian premiere of 'Sky Flesh', a work that explores the boundaries of perception and transcendence in a collision of senses, sounds and 'sound meteors' that literally transports you into space (an impact so strong as to capture the attention of Caterina Barbieri, one of the first to fall in love with it, and to want Marta on her label). It is a journey for which Marta De Pascalis and her touch are a perfect medium, with an incredible mastery of 'playing' alchemy with pre-recorded tapes, analogue synths, oscillators, and other beautiful weapons of extremely high-class craftsmanship.

A dreamlike journey. A foggy, psychedelic meditation. A contemporary sabbath of decomposed and dilated club music refractions. The collaboration between Ana Roxanne, a name on the rise in the ambient circuit, and Brian Piñeyro, aka Dj Python, is one of the potential big surprises of ROBOT 14.

Derisive collectors of capitalist consumer aesthetics since the 1980s. Joyful folk saboteurs working with detritus, sampling, bizarre juxtapositions, and multiple allusions to the kraut rock heritage of Neu! Negativland have been a frenzied cell in contemporary pop music for the past four decades. Shifty and sarcastic, joyful and sharp.

One of our best 'export products' in the clubbing industry: Elena Colombi has for years been firmly established on the playlists of all fans of cultured, multi-faceted electronic dance, capable of respecting its roots while simultaneously challenging the future. At ROBOT she presents the showcase of her label Osare, Italian for 'To Dare', an incomparably appropriate name for an incomparably daring label. Accompanying her, the sophisticated and talented Eva Geist and Fukinsei, the 'ethnomusician' wuth a fierce sensitivity for all that is hyper-contemporary.

The unprecedented collaboration between Radio Raheem and ROBOT brings Brillante, alias of sound designer and creator Jacopo Beolchi, to complete the Saturday night line-up of DumBO Temporanea. Eclectic, formidably capable and insanely curious, Brillante embarks on artistic journeys and danceable hybridisations between different genres and BPMs, linking together new and old, fast and slow, techno, progressive and trance in a beautiful journey to be taken together.

A smiling shaman, born in England and living in Berlin, who debuted by creating an ominous, dark, elaborate and derisive dubstep and subsequently refined his art into aerial compositions full of rhythmic inlays. Paired with a mad producer – Japanese by birth but a citizen of Hyperuranion – capable of brutalizing techno and drum'n'bass, retrogaming music and sudden ambient openings. The encounter between Shackleton and Scotch Rolex is one of the absolute highlights of ROBOT 14.

A project in co-production with Jazz:Re:Found Festival and born from an idea, from an abstract suggestion – linked inseparably with Michelangelo Pistoletto's Cittadellarte, one of the world's greatest representatives of contemporary art. An idea born out of artistic courage and the desire to rewrite the canons of (post) rock, of electronics, and of song form, bringing together talents selected through a specific call, under the artistic direction of the Jazz:Re:Found festival. The end result, progeny of the talents of Carlotta Sillano, Giovanni Corgiat, Marta Del Grandi, Daniele Patton, Michele Marchetti and Gabriele Bertotti, is of a truly rare beauty and sensitivity.

His radio shows on NTS have become cult and underground legend. His imagery, which ranges between Italo disco, the most absurd references to the 70s, dancefloor sensuality and SWAG ante litteram has captured many hearts. One of these hearts is that of the divine Roisin Murphy: who eagerly wanted System Olympia (an Italian transplant in London) as her remixer. She does not arrive at ROBOT empty-handed, but with an upcoming album: expect a taste of what’s to come and plenty of surprises.

A master of noise and of digital extremes. A priest of deconstruction and inquiry in a sonic utopia that bounces between extremes and mutant identities. Tim Hecker has long been one of the most respected names globally among all people for whom music is an adventure to be written along unconventional lines.

DJ, artist, writer and all-round intellectual, New Yorker Juliana Huxtable is always searching for nuance, new meanings, and new limits. With the project Tongue In The Mind she forges a surprising alliance with multi-instrumentalist Joe Rinaldo Heffernan (aka Jealous Orgasm). Expect, quite simply, the unexpected.

Imagine putting together, in a single audiovisual product, 8800 clips and 250 hours of videos of people dancing on YouTube, Facebook, and Instagram, in every corner of the globe. This is Anouk Kruithof’s project, a Dutch visual artist with no definition or boundaries of application, who used 52 researchers to edit 4 hours of dance video loops from everywhere, in every way, for whatever reason. The result is an astounding multifaceted testimony of style and movement, a 'dancecyclopedia' that speaks a thousand languages in one, a demonstration of a possible planetary conjunction of bodies in ecstasy.

A constantly evolving project, born in the locality of Torpignattera, Rome. "Maybe a virus, definitely not a band”. It is difficult, very difficult to frame the project – changeable and mutant in every possible form: but if something is certain, it’s that they deliver on quality (a quality which was quick to impress Lorenzo Senni, the man responsible for the legendary label Warp, who already wanted them on his label five years ago). Vipra Sativa is a rave-non-rave that shatters every commonplace and every possible form of predictability, in a continuous (and almost schizoid) exploration of geographical and sonic trajectories.

A world of oddities and miniatures. Of anxieties and smiles. Of vocal fragments and floral tributes, sonic fractures and dark descents. Hailing from Sheffield – a city that has an incredible tradition of electronic music capable of changing the rules of the game – Voice Actor is a truly sui generis artistic entity, capable of creating entire universes and morbid, compelling narratives with just a few sharp touches.
